Warranty claims
Every product we sell is covered against manufacturing defects. Here is what that covers and how to claim.
What is covered
Manufacturing defects, including:
- stitching that fails under normal use;
- hook-and-loop fastenings that will not grip when new;
- hinges, stays or straps that break or deform in normal use;
- elastic that has no tension out of the packet;
- a product that does not match its stated size or specification.
Needs your review: Set the warranty period you want to offer. It differs by manufacturer — elastic supports are commonly 3–6 months, hinged and rigid braces 12 months. Confirm what your suppliers back, then state it here.
What is not covered
- Normal wear. Elastic and fabric fatigue with use — a support that has gone slack after months of wear has reached the end of its life, not failed.
- Damage from misuse, alteration, or use against the instructions.
- Damage from incorrect washing, tumble drying or bleach.
- A product that does not fit because the wrong size was ordered.
- Products bought anywhere other than MD Lanka.
How to claim
- Email sales@mdlanka.lk or call +94 11 234 5678.
- Give us your order number, the product code and a short description of the fault. Photographs help a great deal.
- Keep the product — we may need to return it to the manufacturer.
- We will assess it and repair, replace or refund. Most claims are settled within 7 working days.

Safety issues
If a product caused injury or appears counterfeit, that is more than a warranty claim. Please report it as described on the regulatory and safety page so it can be escalated to the manufacturer and, where required, the NMRA.
